Dana Schwartz L.Ac. is a California & Oregon State Licensed Acupuncturist & herbalist.
While she comes from a family of Allopathic Medical Doctors, Dana was drawn to investigate medicine that is connected in its roots to nature’s wisdom, with science as its ally. She has over 20 years experience with mind/body medicine as a therapeutic massage therapist, and then in 2003 deepened her studies in Chinese Medicine. Dana believes in the importance of Integrative Medicine and is happy to be a part of this newly emerging and accepted medical field. Her areas of specialization include, stress reduction, women's health, back and neck pain, disc injuries, neurological conditions, cleansing, gynecological disorders, menopause support, digestive conditions, anxiety, depression, insomnia, lifestyle modifications and food as medicine. Dana has also Studied as Death Midwife and grief support with Bridging Transitions. Dana studied Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine at Emperors College of Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica, and Therapeutic massage at the Swedish Institute in New York City; this 6 year education provided a integral vision of the holistic body and its many layers. At the same time she became certified as a yoga instructor learning even more about the subtle bodies – the energetic, emotional, and spiritual layers. Dana has completed three journeys to Peru and into the indigenous Shamanic traditions of the Andes. These have led her to the Pnuema System of Education. She is currently immersed in a deep study of the mystical traditions of the earth, which informs her work within medicine as well as the human being whom she is on a moment to moment basis on many levels. |
